Free pizza, wings and salad will be happening at Dooleys after every GLMMRS event, which is located less than 5 minutes from Kart 2 Kart. You can view a map to Dooleys, with their address below:

Well you need a fifty. A CRF50 preferably. There are CRF50 knockoffs out there (SDG, Xtreme 107, Icon, etc.), but we find the CRF50s to be the most reliable and most popular bikes, while letting you run in one of our spec-racing classes. You can buy a bike new (ask us if you'd like to know of some good places to get a good deal) or used and get it ready for the track. Check the rulebook to find out what modifications are allowed in each class.
- What do I need to do to my fifty once I get it?
With the CRF50, it depends on what class you want to run in. If you're planning on racing in the Superstock class, you just need a few things. If you're planning on runing in the premiere 88-Extreme class, there's a few more modifications you can do. Make sure and check the rulebook before making any modifications. The most common modifications include:
- Street/motard tires
- Stiffer rear spring/aftermarket shock
- Big bar kits and taller seat
- Stronger front fork bushings (eliminates slop in the front end)
- Takegawa/Kitaco/Trail Bikes 88cc big bore kit (88-Extreme class)
- Aftermarket exhaust (88-Extreme class)
- Where can I get these parts?
There are a variety of places that sell aftermarket parts. A few of our favorites are Honda East, Classic Honda and Magic Racing.
- How much does it cost to race?
Racing for the day is $20. That includes practice, sprint races, and anything else we can squeeze in from 8:00am - 1:00pm.
A GLMMRS membership is required and costs $30. The GLMMRS membership makes you eligible for the GLMMRS championships, random prize giveaways and more.
- How old do I have to be to race?
18 years old.
- What's the engine size (cc) limit in the Open class?
We've bumped it up from 110cc to 124cc.
- Why don't you guys allow bigger bikes like the XR70, XR100, KLX/DRZ110, and 120cc and up bikes?
Primarily because our series is centered around 50-based bikes (the CRF50). In addition, the above bikes are too big for our indoor track (especially when 10-15 of them are on the track together).
We don't allow 124cc bikes because all of our riders have bought/built their bikes on the existing class structure and it's worked extremely well. The class is near capacity as is, and due to time constraints, we simply cannot accomodate another class. We welcome you to come watch one of our events though; it might just be enough to persuade you to get a bike that fits into one of our classes.
- I'm a bigger guy/gal - will I be competitive?
Definitely. There are plenty of bigger people that are competitive and running at the front. Things like gearing, suspension setup (yes, even on these little bikes) and riding ability are more important here. Weight is not a valid excuse.
Race etiquette is helping out a fellow racer in need - even if he's a competitor. It's raising your hand when you're exiting the track so someone doesn't run into you from behind. It's cleaning up after yourself. It's clean, hard racing. It's making friends at the track - because that's what it's all about.
- How are awards given at each round?
1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards are given to the top three riders per round, per class.
- What kind of riding gear should I bring?
Gear Required: Full length clothing (pants, shirt), helmet, leather shoes (covering ankle), and full length jacket.
Gear Recommended: Eye protection, knee/elbow pads, and gloves (full suit leathers are great if you have them).
- Can I run a Yamaha TTR50 instead of a CRF50?
Yes you can. However you may or may not have the accessibility initially to the same aftermarket parts that exist for the Hondas. Make sure you check part availability before buying one. The same spec-rules apply for both bikes.
- I've got a pocketbike? Can I race too?
Sure, head over to the Blazzin' Bikers who runs the pocketbikes the same way we run the motards. You can find more info by checking out The Blazzin Bikers website.
- Do you guys race in the summer?
GLMMRS doesn't directly operate in the summer, but we do have affiliates who hold races during that time. See our forum for further details.
- I've got a question not listed here. What should I do?
Contact us and let us know what you've got. We'll get back with you right away.
- So with all this fun, we can do anything we want right?
Unfortunately not. We do penalize riders who race dirty (ask us what this means if you don't know), cheat, or cause problems in any detrimental or dangerous manner. Whether it's losing points, missing race(s), or losing your GLMMRS membership altogether, we can't afford to let one or two bad apples spoil things for everyone else. This is fun and our goal is to ensure that what we do stays that way. So let's go race!
